Angel Reese Named 2025 Unrivaled Defensive Player of the Year

MIAMI (March 15, 2025) – Unrivaled announced today Rose BC forward Angel Reese was named the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year. Reese earned the honor after receiving the most combined weighted votes from Unrivaled players and coaches, as well as a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

During the inaugural Unrivaled season, Reese led Unrivaled in rebounds per game (12.2 rpg) and led the Rose in blocked shots this year. Reese was the anchor all season for the best scoring defense in Unrivaled allowing 65.2 points per game.
