Unrivaled Signs Ariel Atkins to Relief Player Contract

Miami (February 21, 2025) – Unrivaled has signed WNBA Champion and All-Star guard Ariel Atkins to a Relief Player Contract, the League announced today. Atkins will remain in the Unrivaled Relief Player Pool through the remainder of the season.
The No. 7 overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft has spent her entire career with the Washington Mystics. Atkins was a pivotal member of Washington’s WNBA title in 2019, a two-time WNBA All-Star, and a U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist in 2020. The 5-foot-10 guard from the University of Texas is also a five-time WNBA All-Defensive Team recipient.
Atkins played in 121 career games with 100 starts in four years at Texas. She scored in double figures 81 times in her career and her 1,497 points ranks 20th all-time at Texas. Atkins was an AP Honorable Mention All-America for the 2017-2018 season and was a three-time All-Big 12 selection.
Atkins will be assigned to a club at a later date. Unrivaled games continue tonight between the Lunar Owls and the Rose at 7:15 p.m., followed by the Mist at the Vinyl at Wayfair Arena, airing on TNT, truTV and Max.
